( GDP ) - Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) : Very-Rare !!!!!! The "The Fiddler !" - " Blues For Allah !! " ( Philip Garris designed ! ) Backstage Pass !!! ... for the Red Hot ! 8/4/82 Show !! - at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis Missouri !!! ... on the G.D. '82 Summer Tour !!!!! Grateful Dead ... & Early-'80's Dead Fans !!! Offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the August 4th, 1982 ( 8/4/82 ) Summer Tour '82 Show at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri ( MO ) !!! And ... Wow ! Let me tell you Fans, if - you are not already in-the-know on this Show ... this is. Let's just say the Bright Red Color ! on this " Blues For Allah " Pass is quite-accurate in hindsight ... because this 8/4/82 Show at the Kiel is a Complete ! Red-Hot !! Smoker !!! This Fans is just ! the type of Early-'80's G.D. that I myself live-for ... just Big-League G.D. Live-Deliveries in this-era, with Fat & Massive ! Garcia Tone !!! I've always wondered if Jerry's ' personal-favorite ' Guitar playing of-his was inside this Early-'80's window of the Grateful Dead Era ... because without any better way to say it -- some of the fret board attacks that he delivers are simply-Astonishing ! Whoa !!! Garcia Ahead & This-Pass is in Red ! Ha !! Jerry celebrated his 40th Birthday at the 8/1/82 at the Oklahoma Zoo Show ... and then ... right-after, this Tour went Kansas City ( Starlight ) 8/3/82 > Keil / Missouri ! 8/4/82 > St. Paul ( Civic ) 8/6/82 > and then 2 ! at Alpine Valley, with - naturally ...the 8/7/82 Alpine Valley Show being Forever-Enshrined ( Rightfully ! ) in the form of " Dick's Picks 32 ". So, in other words ... yep, you guessed it - a Red-Hot ! Grateful Dead Tour run here ... with just about Everything ! running perfectly on all cylinders - and all systems " Go " !!! And though this 8/4/1982 Kiel/Missouri Show didn't really have a ' staple ' like go-to segment, like all ! of the others did ... it sometimes gets a hair looked over by the casual G.D. Fans, Tapers, etc.. But, the fact is ... there are Multiple ! " Moments of Magic ! " inside both Sets of this Show - as it is indeed one of those G.D. nights where you must ... look ' beyond ' the set list on-paper. Stranger opens with sheer-Smoke ! The C.C. Rider is super-duper aggressive ... the Row Jimmy is noteworthy in its silky-smooth tempo, and the Stagger Lee is hot ! - leading up to the Cookin' ! Promised Land Set I Closer ! Set II opens real blues-like with Good Times Blues ! - and then, it is-indeed time for some extended & extensive G.D. jam-time - with a Killer ! Estimated > Terrapin !!! Drums / Space leads to a Rocker ! of an NFA - the Black Peter is Garcia at his emotional-player best ! And then ... Around, Good Lovin' & U.S. Blues sends home this St. Louis Crown Way-Way Happy !!! - to say the least. A lot of these Boards circulated almost immediately ! right after these Shows in the tape trading circuits, and all I can say on that notion is ... Thank You -- ( Road Crew !!! ) Ha ! Chunky, Loud & Mean !!! Maters, 1st Gens, etc. is what Really ! put the tail end of this '82 Summer Tour right on the Dead Fan Map & Mind !!! And as for this Pass design itself ? Wow !!! Pretty strong indeed, as you are looking at the Philip Garris designed ' The Fiddler ' from " Blues For Allah " Fame ! One of the most Quintessential ! Grateful Dead designs in all of G.D. History !! And this particular design here, for 8/4/82 ? An Amazing ! " Bright-Red " !!! colored image, with a stark white background ! A high-quality ( thick & durable ! ) made " Otto " brand Pass from the Early-'80's. And too ... for the record - one of my favorite '82 Shows of all-time, was the Show following this Tour - on 8/28/82 in Veneta, Oregon ! ... just 2-weeks later, so indeed - the Band did more than continue their Live-Delivery Magic ! ways & means after this '82 Summer Tour. Garcia's Distortion-tones, and especially the treble-highs - are a little grittier & nastier during this period. Which for my ears ? Oh my does it work ... When he flies, he Flies !!! And let's not forget, this period is also the coming-out party for those emphatic Bobby Weir attacks, that we all Love ! Bring it Ace, because after all - it's the '80's !!! I say ... '80's Dead Forever ! The Phillip Garris designed " Blues For Allah " G.D. Pass ... in Stellar ! silky-smooth Bright Red !!! ... Enjoy !!!!!
