Description: This is an original Holley List 4144 2 barrel carburetor. The Holley List 4144 is the center/primary carb that was used on 1969-1970 Mopar 440 6 pack cars backed by an automatic transmission. This particular carb is dated coded 1979 which decodes as the 197th day of 1969. This carburetor was removed from a 1969 440 6 pack engine. The engine was running a bit lean on this carb and the car was going to auction the next day. The owner had a new carb on the shelf so rather than rejetting the carb, he simply replaced the carb in the interest of time to be sure the car would go across auction block with no issues. This carb was properly drained and placed in the box of the replacement carb where it has been since it was removed. This is a very hard to find 1969 dated 440 6 pack center carb. This carb is in very good condition overall. It looks to have been restored including replating as shown. The carb is totally complete and all parts move freely. The only issues I see are a chipped choke cam and a chip out of the choke tower as shown. The cam can simply be replaced. The chip on the choke tower is cosmetic only since it is above where the choke plate closes. This carb will need to be jetted to you application. It should also probably have the gaskets and soft parts replaced while the carb is off an engine. Don't miss this awesome factory 1969 dated 440 6 pack carb.
