Narnett” B/w, 3x5. Isobel, Lady Barnett (1918-1980) was a popular presence on both radio and TV, and attained widespread fame in the 1950s and 1960s for her role on the panel of What's My Line? After studying medicine at the University of Glasgow, she qualified as a doctor in 1940. One year later, she married solicitor and company director Geoffrey Barnett. When her husband was knighted in 1953, she acquired the title of Lady Barnett. Lady Barnett gave up her medical career in 1948, and for the next twenty years was a justice of the peace. Following her installation on the panel of What's My Line?, Barnett became a household name, staying with the program for ten years. Moreover, she was a frequent guest on the BBC radio series Any Questions?, on the radio panel game Many a Slip, and on the discussion series The Petticoat Line. Heavily toned. Gently bowed. Otherwise, fine condition. See more material from these signers: ISOBEL BARNETT See more listings in our ACTORS & ACTRESSES (13,291) category. Please note that this is an authentically signed item.
