Description: The only thing I know about Japanese saws is that I like them better than American saws. They seem to cut better and I can control them better. I say "Famous Maker" because the person who sold them to me said one of the saws was made by a famous maker. I do not speak Japanese so I was unable to verify that information. So please do your own research before purchasing. The only reason I am selling them is I purchased a better saw. Note that two of the saws have partially broken tips. They still work fine. Also be aware that replacement blades are readily available online if you don't like the toothing. Many Japanese carpenter's just replace the blades rather than sharpening them. Twenty bucks a saw for vintage saws-how can you go wrong.
