Description: Lisle Violin Shop (of Houston/Pasadena, Texas), Model 96, 4/4 size violin. This violin was a restoration project for myself that I've needed to abandon due to health issues. My restoration was intended for the finishes only, no work was performed on the body, neck, fingerboard, nut, saddle or seams. For the restoration, I was removing the original vanish/stain to re-stain/varnish a different color, and to gain experience in the process of staining and varnishing a violin. The sound post is intact, and the fingerboard, nut and saddle are original to the violin. This listing also includes the tailpiece, which has "Wittner" brand fine tuners, a Guarneri style chin rest, four pegs, and the endpin. This listing DOES NOT INCLUDE a bridge or strings, and is being sold as-is...it would be a good item on which to continue the restoration process, or instead to part out. This item is from my personal collection, comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home, and ships free!
