Longaberger PROTOTYPE Cat's Head Basket-NEW (Please read description)

Description: You are viewing a Longaberger Prototype Cat's Head Basket. This Basket measures 15.5"L x 12.75"W x 5.25"H and features Light Warm Brown over Charcoal Upsplints and Light Grey horizontal weaves with White Shoestring Weaves at the bottom. The trim strip features Light Warm Brown over White and the bottom of the Basket is an open weave concept featuring Charcoal weaves. The bottom of the Basket has a curved look that comes to a peak on the corners-hence the name Cat's Head. The colors in this Basket are absolutely stunning! A Prototype is the first Basket made and presented to the Longaberger Design Team to determine if that particular item is cost effective to make and sell. Some Prototypes were numbered and placed in the historical area-not for sale. Other Prototypes were accepted and then produced for the public to purchase. Some of those were not stamped or signed by the weaver. Such is the case with this particular Basket. In 2021, a sale of the historical merchandise was conducted at The Longaberger Homestead. That is where this basket came from. This Basket is brand new and comes from my smoke-free home.
