Description: Hello, These were used on 2 ascents of Rainier, climbing Mt. Shasta and ice climbing in Ouray. Because they are fully automatic crampon compatible they are excellent for technical climbing. They have had crampons on them their whole life pretty much so the tread only shows very minor wear. I just put gel insoles in them which makes them insanely comfortable and they have a moveable/removable padded tongue to make them more comfortable but also to help dial in fit and reduce shin rubbing, its such an awesome boot Im sad they stopped making them. The upper uses a memory foam and has neoprene around the calf muscle. They have roller ball eyelets with a lace lock so you can tension the lower boot below the ankle and lock it and then tension the vertical section of the boot above the ankle separately. Full rubber surround and leather upper that I just treated with Nikwax Leather waterproofing. There is a small hole on the right boot in the stretchy outter material, it does not extend farther than the outter material. Some scuffing from normal use but I tried to take care of these because I loved them soo much. Haven't been climbing for a few years so time to let them go.
