MAESTRO FZ-1A FUZZ TONE Maestro's historic masterpiece is now in stock! Maestro is a well-established brand with a 77-year history, founded in the United States in 1935. The FZ-1 Fuzz Tone was the world's first distortion pedal released by Maestro in 1962. A patent application was filed for this pedal, and the patent document stated, "By connecting this pedal, a guitar will sound like a saxophone or a trumpet. Despite being a revolutionary product, it was released at a time when the concept of distortion was still unknown in the electric guitar world, and it did not sell at all at first. However, as soon as "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones became a hit in 1965, the popularity of this instrument ignited, and when the FZ-1A with minor changes was released later, it became a big hit, selling more than 40,000 units in total. This is the historical masterpiece, FZ-1A Fuzz Tone. The FZ-1A uses a single AA battery. This unit has had the shield removed and replaced with a jack. * The original shield is also included.
