Description: Monopoly Game – Complete Wood Pieces Instructions Bone Dice – Near FINE – Vintage 1936 Uncommon / rare 1936 Monopoly game is all-original, complete (to my knowledge) and in Very Good++ condition shape. Box dating factors: pointing to the certain / sure 1936 date – it is blue, includes London, dual patent #’s (The phrase A PARKER TRADING GAME was added to the box tops in late 1936.) Other factors supporting the 1936 date: Chance cards: 16, no graphics Community Chest cards: 16, no graphics Properties: 28 (they were found grouped in set, likely as issued Tokens / Players: 6, all wood Dice: 2, small – and I think they are bone Hotels: 12, Wood Houses: 32, wood Money: not counted but complete (found as stacked by denomination, as at the factory) Instructions The board includes the same / matching graphics as the small box. Condition Overall Very Good++ (Near FINE on the internals) vintage condition…. for 85+ years of age… Box is complete and not broken; lid considerably darkened from age and exposure. Includes the original inserts. The internal pieces are shockingly fresh: Property cards with no corner wear, bends or folds, Chance and Community Chest cards again sharp with no corner wear, wood pieces with no use wear. The Money found stacked neatly in order by denomination – seemingly as issued at the factory. Board surface is quite clean and fresh, outside covers with fading and dust soiling, and corner bumps. Please see the photos… A rescue from an estate in far Northern Michigan... Note: if you know more or better re dating the set, I am happy to update the listing… 082024
