In 2015 it was the legendary Russian author, Leo Tolstoy – famous for works such a “War and Peace” and “Anna Karenina”.The design of the pen takes its inspiration from the Tolstoy’s family home. The pillars at the entrance of the estate are depicted by the shape of the top of the cap. His philosophy of working the land is symbolised by the handcrafted, hammered silver-plated barrel.The dark grey resin cap and mottled blue piston cone are a nod to the colours used on the covers of his first major works. The design on the cap ring is inspired by a traditional woven Russian pattern.The pen is fitted with an 18k Medium (M) nib, which features an engraving of the family’s coat-of-arms.
