Description: Welcome! For sale is this old Chinese embroidered silk case, possibly for glasses. It measures appx. 2 3/4 x 5 3/4" without the stringing. Strings frayed at ends. Beads are pink glass in imitation of tourmaline. Case is open at top and down one side. I assume it may have come undone a bit and was supposed to only be open at the top. Something which could probably be stitched back up if so. Very fine embroidery with bats. Some soiling and wear. One side with horizontal line in black silk ground which is not a tear but is damage to the silk of some kind. A few other possible scattered loose/missing threads.
