OLD VINTAGE 1960s-1970s JR FIRE CHIEF DIME STORE TOY FIRE TRUCK AMBULANCE CARDED

Description: Offered here is a small play set that is UNUSED, and still attached to the card. (It appears that the clear plastic "bubble" top was coming loose, and the previous owner STAPLED IT IN PLACE, to keep it from coming off.) All of the enclosed parts are made of PLASTIC. The card reads: "Jr. FIRE CHIEF...MADE IN HONG KONG." There are no other maker marks or date. This appears to be from the 1960's or early 1970's - give or take. The set includes: a whistle, badge, fire extinguisher, ambulance and fire truck. This looks like a "dime store toy" and the various items were CHEAPLY MADE, and are of POOR QUALITY. (The ambulance and fire truck are made of lightweight softer type plastic.) It looks like the original ink stamped price was 59 Cents, but was scribbled over, and now has a hand written price of 49 Cents. The card measures approx. 7 by 10 inches. The CONTENTS are pretty much NEAR MINT to MINT. The CARD is POOR condition. As mentioned, it has 13 staples keeping the bubble in place. There are splits in the plastic bubble - especially over the red truck. The card is bent and creased.
