Description: Original Framed Oil Pastel Flowers C.I Armstrong. Framed, Matted Signed. Very pretty or pastel still life featuring maroon and gold flowers in a green vase. The drawing is nicely matted with a maroon mat and framed in wood. The painting does show some signs of staining, but otherwise is in good condition. Please see photos for the staining. The back of the frame has an obituary glued on it, which is the artist. Some quick online research led us to some information, including a registration of death for the artist who was from Ontario and was a schoolteacher and died at age 33, after complications following an operation. Inside the frame, between the painting and the back, we found part of a folded newspaper from the day after her death, June 11, 1946. Those newspaper pages from the Windsor daily star in Windsor Ontario will be included as part of this listing. Please review all photos carefully as part of the description.
