Description: Antique handmade letter opener Intricate design in the shape of a dagger Possible trench art item comprised of copper and brass metal strips worked into a letter knife 4 stands of copper and 2 strands of brass handmade into a letter knife. 4 copper stands were smelted into a blade and then fashioned into a handle; 2 of the copper stands are twisted in the handle and 2 remained straight and notched. Outside of handle, the crossguard and the outside of pommel are made from 2 stands of brass. Unique see through design. Shows use and wear. Copper blade is sharp.
