G. Laughlin) in 1974. Now approaching 40 years old, this card is becoming increasingly difficult to find in top condition. The card design features a photograph of the player mounted with photo corners. The player's name, position and years of play are framed in a nameplate on the sepia fronts. The backs carry the set name (Pioneers of Baseball) above the player biography. The card is numbered at the bottom. It is a rather odd card size (approximately 2-1/2" by 4") but will fit snugly in 6-pocket sheets available at most quality baseball card shops and better regional shows. Condition is Near-Mint or better.
