This originally was a Pratt & Whitney no. 680B inside micrometer set. Components got mixed up or replaced over the years. This is now a good working set with a newer Starrett 823 micrometer head, Lufkin anvils (1 P&W anvil), the hard to find Lufkin series 680 anvil holder for reaching down into bores (please don't ask to buy or list this separately) and the original Pratt & Whitney wooden box. It can measure from 1.500" thru 12.000". Resolution is .001". You screw the interchangeable anvils onto the micrometer head to make different ranges. These are very fine threads, so screw them on slowly so you do not cross thread them. You know what these cost new in 2024 so save on this one. Note: These were designed so if you are stacking a bunch of the anvils it is best to put the micrometer head close to the center position and anvils on each end of the micrometer so the micrometer is more inline with your line of sight.
