I still love listening to these tapes and have played many within the past couple of years, but I bought most of them in the late 80s through the 90s in the many amazing record shops of my hometown. Unfortunately I can't test each tape, but I do give each one a look for any obvious issues (mold, missing felt pad, etc) and a rewind/fast forward to make sure the tape isn't sticking.
