This is the ideal fuel pump replacement or upgrade for stock or modified F-Bodies up to 600whp. This assembly eliminates the failure prone "Venturi" design found on 1999-2002 factory canisters. Previously, installing a high Walbro 255LPH or 340LPH pump into an OEM GM canister meant disabling the venturi system by cutting "windows" into the sides of the bucket. Doing so would result in canister drain during hard acceleration or cornering, which caused fuel starvation and overheating of the fuel pump, which in turns leads to premature failure. The bandaid solution was to keep the tank at 1/4-1/2 full or above. Quantum's 340LPH assembly resolves these deficiencies and dramatically increases fuel pump volume while retaining full OEM functionality. The tank can be run down to "low" without any fuel starvation issues whatsoever.
