Description: This rare 19th century photographic case features an English stamp and a beautiful picture of a royal lady, Lady Blessington. The case is an original production from the 1800s and is in excellent shape for its age. The photograph is in color and depicts a celebrity or member of royalty, making it a highly sought-after item for collectors. The format of the photograph is unknown, but it is sure to be a unique addition to any collection. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history with this stunning piece. Marguerite Gardiner, Countess of Blessington (ne Power; 1 September 1789 4 June 1849), was an Irish novelist, journalist, and literary hostess. She became acquainted with Lord Byron in Genoa and wrote a book about her conversations with him. Note: I didn't want to open the image and ruin the case but I have never found a photographic case with a royal stamp. The picture looks like a painting or engraving vice an actual photograph. A newspaper clipping appears to have been inserted at one point identifying the lady.
