Description: Selling an authentic signed Venini Murano glass vase. Made in Venice, Italy sometime between 1946-1965. Listed in the Venini Red Catalogue as shape 4818 or 4819 depending on the size. This one is approximately 8.5”. The design was made by Paolo Venini for his company Venini & Co. It is clearly marked with the acid mark “Venini Murano Italia” used from 1946-1965/66. The design is called “inciso”. Which is a horizontal incised design all around the exterior of fine lines carved into it. It has an amazing texture when handled. It feels like the surface of a record album. Satin exterior with a glossy interior. The glass itself is “sommerso” style with layered colored glass. These are extremely hard to find and rarely show up outside of collections. A simply stunning mid century modern design, simplistic & stylish. It measures approximately 8.5” tall by 2.5” in diameter. It is in excellent condition with some minor normal scratches to the bottom along with a small pen tip sized flea bite. See all pictures. Very clean otherwise.
