Coin is guaranteed authentic, uncleaned as found, see illustration. Silver coins of late medieval Cilician Armenia were sometimes captured by invaders and overstruck in Arabic. Most of these coins were takvorins of King Levon IV, showing king seated on horse/lion with cross. The designs and Armenian legends are sometimes obscured by the overstrike.
