Description: Clevenger Brothers Replica of Dyottville Glass Works Washington Taylor Bust Quart Historical Whiskey FlaskCirca 1950 This is not an original Dyottville flask from the 19th century, but a replica by Clevenger Brothers. They began their copycat operation during the Great Depression in South Jersey. Beginning in 1955 they began adding "CR" to the base of their blown glass. As this piece does ot have that marking, it is one of their earlier pieces. While not the authentic Doyottville piece I originally thought, it is still a very interesting collectible. Dyottville Glass Works in Philadelphia PA blown glass flask in a dark purple shade. Embossed letters read "DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS PHILADA" on the side with bust of Gen Taylor ("GEN TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS"). Opposite side has bust of George Washington and reads "THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY". Flask measures 8" tall, 6" wide, 2 1/2" thick. Sheared mouth measures 1 1/8" with opening approximately 7/8".
