Description: Charming vintage late 1940s / early 1950s day dress created of a lightweight cotton fabric in a pretty light blue colour accented with an embroidered pattern (stylized apple ?) in shades of blue & green. The cap sleeved dress has a tailored bodice with a scoop neckline (mirrored on the back), nipped waist and an A-line cut skirt with tiny pleat detail below the waist & a knee length hem. Love the oversize double patch pocket with button accents on the skirt! The dress is unlined (the fabric is slightly sheer against strong light. Also, the label proudly proclaims "It's a Dan River fabric!") and closes at the back with a metal zipper. MEASUREMENTS: No size labels ... the bust measures 34 inches (and therefore fits a size 32 bust best), the waist measures 26 inches and the hips are free. There is no stretch to the fabric - as always, remember to leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit. The dress is 39 inches in length with another 1 + inches in the hem that could be let down. CONDITION: Very slight wear ... overall, very good to excellent condition. SHIPPING: USA - Free Shipping.
