Description: Original antique Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate for 1914:"SPARROWS IN A TREE IN FRONT OF A LIT CHURCH WINDOW" designed by Arthur Boesen. The plate is in very good as new condition and of course first factory. Due to fuel poverty during WW I. the plates of these years always show some small imperfections in the glaze. Nothing worth to talk about, but has to be mentioned here for reasons of accuracy. Please be aware that there are no perfect plates of these very early years. Buy with confidence: this plate is very close to perfect and doesn't show any glaze repairs or imperfections like almost all plates of this year! One of the best plates of this year I ever had!
