This Royal Dux Austria Pottery Planter Vase would be a beautiful addition to any collection. It is in Art Nouveau style and has a hand-applied floral design and it is made of ceramic with a glazed finish. Not sure of exact year, however it is from early 19th century. Due to the age of planter vase, it is in great vintage preowned condition. I got this from an estate sale so not sure of the history. I have included pictures of issues: Photos 7-9 show flower #1. The wrinkles you see on the petals were done in manufacturing. 9 photo is pic. of small chip on edge of petal and cannot see from front view. Photos 10-14 show flower #2. Photo 12 shows chip on back of petal. Photo 13 shows small chip on edge of another petal. Photo 14 shows a small chip on front of petal. Photos 15-16 shows a repair of leaf. Done way before I received this piece. Photos 17-20 shows where are a couple of places in the glaze where there were apparent bubbles in the glaze and when fired they popped leaving these places bear. One place is on front oblong shape between 2 chips near bottom (17-19). Photo 20 is the other spot without colored glaze. Due to age of this piece, overall, this is really a beautiful piece of art and if I had a place to keep it, I would definitely not be selling it, lol 😊 All items come from a pet and smoke free home.
