Description: This is a wonderful vintage, patented Police Holster from the late 1940's by the S D Myres Company in El Paso, Texas. I think the patent probably applies to the snaps on the belt portion of the holster, making it super easy to remove if desired without removing one's belt. Holster is in excellent original condition and it is evident that it was very well cared for over the years. Holster is designed for the Smith & Wesson Military & Police 5 Inch .38 Special Service Revolver and of course will handle any 4 or 5 inch S&W Revolver with a K or L Frame. Also I suppose would fit Colt 4-5 Inch Revolvers.
