All leather products are designed after similar Civil War vintage belts on display in the Civil War museums in Franklin and Shiloh, TN. All leather items are cut from complete full cowhide sides and are heavy, thick bridal leather quality 8-10 oz. leather. You should not accept any less for durability and wear. We do not use pre-cut or pre-made items for use or re-sell to the public. After cutting, the pieces are crafted in our leather shop for proper design, completed, and checked twice for quality, durable construction.
