Description: This one-of-a-kind collector doll is from the first generation of designers repainting faces and designing elaborate unique costumes. I purchased this doll new at a doll show in the early 1990s. She still has her original $160 price tag. Val was a Brazilian designer who crafted all of her outfits off of the Brazilian Carnival scene. This doll is wearing a large blue feathered headress, dangling blue and gold earrings, a gold bikini style outift, a long blue skirt, and a long blue and gold sheer stole. Her hair has been braided and is finished with a gold band. Her makeup has been redone to accentuate the colors in the outfit and highlight her eyelashes. She is in excellent condition. For the majority of the time this doll has been housed in a glass-enclosed display case out of any direct sunlight. She was displayed with other Barbie dolls. Stand is included.
