Description: Starting today, listing the last few seed packets. I've gotten my initial portions all into stratification, so have just a few left over. Very limited Here's a new mix I just put together. A few years back I did a large growout of some Berkeley County SC flava seed. These seeds originally came from some nice darker cuprea and var flava and were a huge swarm pollination to try and tease out some darker colors. I selected a lot of the darker colored seedlings, as well as lighter colors and even some inverse veined seedlings. I grew these out, and this spring I had blooms on a number of darker clones. I did a another swarm pollination of these siblings again, using pollen only from the darkest clones that have bloomed. This is a seed mix of dozens of different pod parent's mixed with these darker red pollen. The photographs are of some of the darker clones that have showed up for me and were used for some of these seeds. Most of the parents open up as darker ornata that slowly infuse. This mix is trying to double down on reds and get true atros with Berkeley Co genetics. Expect a wide variety of seedling colors from this mix, all pure Berkeley Co SC genetics. There is a small chance that some of the darkest reds will double down and turn out pure atros. There is also a lot of inverse veining in this population (same line as my super inverse veined flava clones). I am planting out a huge amount of this seed to search for atros, but I have a bit extra to make available. Expect me to come calling for a trade if you get something better than I do in my growouts! 150+ seeds per packet These seeds will need to be stratified before planting --- If you don't know, i'm one of the largest seed producers in the US with a top tier pollination protocol. I have done over 1000 crosses in each of the past 3 seasons from within my massive collection of plants. I always fully bag flowers, turn off fans, and practice very strict pollen gathering and applying procedures using disposable qtips for pollination. Insects aren't common in my sealed greenhouses in spring, but I take every precaution to ensure the pollen I put on a flower is the only one that pollinates it. I create seeds for my own collection, and want to be assured what I cross is exactly what I want. Accept no substitutes for seed nor seedlings! From time to time I also grow out seed crosses from growers I trust that are following strict pollination and seed production protocols. Often times, these seeds aren't generally available to the general public either. US bidders and US shipping only. I am a proud greenhouse grower. Sorry, I can't ship overseas And stay tuned, I'll have many many more flava and hybrid seedlings to post in the coming weeks. The best time to build the flava collection of your dreams was yesterday, but you can still start today. Bid early and often, I for sure won't be selling this cross very often.
