I was told it has never been used, and I believe it. However, I had to try to test the console before selling. Upon turning the console on, the red power light comes on and the screen gives off some light, but it does nothing else. I tried to insert a game, but it won't play anything... all you get it a blank screen as pictured. Console comes with everything pictured. Includes the pictured AC adapter and games. As far as cosmetic condition, the console looks excellent. However, the box is beat up. It has wear that includes waviness / creases, etc. I assume the console needs recapped, but I really don't know for sure.
