In remembrance of this great writer, I wrote the story of the night I met him at the Book Release & Signing for the New York Trilogy Manuscript Limited Edition, when he signed this copy, for the NighthawkNYC site. The piece is titled "A Writing Lesson With Paul Auster" and includes a complete video of what he said. The signing took place immediately after the video ends. VERY FEW copies were signed. For one thing, the weather that night was horrific, reducing the turnout. For another, it wasn't a cheap book. I heard at the event Mr. Auster was only doing a signing for the Manuscript Edition in NYC and one in L.A. As a result, this is now among the rarest Signed Paul Auster books. I have included a picture of the announcement of the signing (pic 5).
