Description: Presented is a vintage, 14 karat yellow gold, sapphire and diamond ring made in America during the turn of the 20th century. This piece was made between 1890 and 1910. The decorative top of the ring is done in a bullseye form with a wonderful, faceted sapphire surrounded by 10 old mine cut diamonds. The sapphire is a real (mined from the ground) sapphire. The stones are all well set with secure prongs. The diamonds are approximately 6 points each (60 points or over a half carat of total diamond weight) and are H color and I-1 clarity. The sapphire is hard to measures exactly because of the setting but it measures approximately 5.5 millimeters in diameter, is 2.7 millimeters deep and is approximately .65 carats.The band is marked 14K. This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no missing stones, no missing prongs, no breaks and no repairs. The ring is a size 5 1/2 and it weighs 2.9 grams.
