Description: A stunning pair of matching hand painted porcelain decorative bottle style vases. The design is Aesthetic Movement, circa 1870-1880s. Beautiful with a rich vibrant and colorful pallet. The front of each features portraits of Italian poets, Dante Alighieri and Ludovico Ariosto. The backs feature a book and writing quill design that are slightly different. Nice ornamentation and patterns throughout that make these very eye catching. Very good condition, light surface wear, one very small chip on each at the base rim. One bottle has a cork in it. Please review photos for further assessment. Each measures 6.5 inches high, 4 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. There are no signatures or makers mark but it is a great example of very high quality period porcelain work. A rare and unique set, ready to be displayed and enjoyed.
