Description: Estate Sale items being sold as found with only a light dusting. Any further cleaning or restitution desired must be accomplished by the buyer. This is to ensure no damage is done or desired patina removed. This listing is for an ultra-rare set of Murano Burmese Uranium Glass Dolphin/Koi Figures. Burmese glass is a single layer glass with delicate coloration of pink or salmon shading to yellow by the addition of uranium oxide and gold to the original glass batch. This created a yellow opaque glass which on reheating turned to a salmon color shading into the yellow. Further reheating turned the salmon color back to yellow as shown on the scalloped base of this figurine. The uranium in the glass causes the vase to fluoresce brightly when exposed to black light. These figurines have no chips or cracks. Condition Notes: There are some lines on one fin of the more pink toned figure, however it appears to be in the design and not a crack. Some sticker residue is present where, I believe old stickers were affixed from an antique store. This collector was an avid antiques collector. Unsure of age, however, we believe this piece to date to the 1960's-1970's. Will be carefully packed and shipping insured to value. (I will have a pair of swans in a separate listing.)
