Kit 43424 is not a complete kit. The reversing lever is not included and you will need to reuse your existing one. 2. Order of kit 43425 will now receive the older version kit 44377. 3. Two springs are included in kits 43437 and 4379. Use the long one for ratchet with oil port and use the short one for ratchet without the oil port. 4. Kits 43425/44377, 43437, 44525, and 44378 are fairly old stock and all have visible rust on metal parts. While it may not affect the operation we recommend that you clean them with WD40 first as a preventative measure. Note: As of 2/22/18 our remaining 43425/44377 and 44525 all have good amount of surface rust on the metal parts. See example. 5. Kit 44377, 44378, 44818, and 44684 are the older versions of kit 43425, 43435, 43434, and 43446, respectively. Those older kits were manufactured in the late 80's to early 90's for their originals. Both versions fit all of their compatible ratchets perfectly regardless. 6. Craftsman recommends that the ratchet mechanisms be cleaned with WD-40 and lubricated with SAE 30 oil and you should never use a heavy weight grease. While thick grease may quiet down the ratchet noise it can adversely prevent positive engagement of the gear teeth and cause the ratchet to fail. 7. All tool sales are final. Tools are not returnable for any reason.
