Description: HILTON HEAD HUMANE (HHH)THRIFT VALPELTRO ITALIAN PEWTER CANDLESTICK DESCRIPTION: Valpeltro is an artisan company located in Lograto, Italy. They began in 1973 producing fine pewter handcrafted items. One of these items is the pewter candlestick that we are offering here. This candlestick measures approximately 11 1/4" high X 4 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" deep. It is fashioned in a classic design that is reminiscent of the Federal style in U.S. decor. The Valpeltro logo; mark and pewter composition are all found on the bottom of the candlestick. Current research indicates the replacement cost of this Valpeltro piece to be approximately $144.00 It was obviously often used by the previous owner as there are wax deposits on the piece. When this candlestick has a complete cleaning - something that we are unable to accomplish with perfection - it will be a beautiful, warm reflection of classic elegance. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed.
