The shade of course detaches for shipping. There is a small standard light bulb init. This is a new lamp that is made with an antique Victorian look. Electric cord.The light is a bit larger than many similar I have seen online. It is 19.5 inches tall and 8 incheswide. The dome diameter is 7,75 inches. Beautiful accent lamp for bedroom or occasional table. I may choose to mail this in 2 boxes (not sure yet) ~ want to make sure the glass globe is wellprotected.
