Description: Mrs. E.B. Weaver’s 1937 piano recital program is in acceptable vintage condition. See photos, it has edgewear and stains and it has been folded twice. The recital was held at Emahizer-Spielman Furniture Company. I found this item at Evanston, Illinois estate of Robert R. Jones, listed in the program as Bobby Jones. Jones had a successful career in journalism, culminating in him been appointed editor of Industrial Research magazine. He and his wife author Dorothy V. Jones and two sons. One son Dan was a piano tuner and a musician - sadly, he passed away as a young adult. For a bit of history, Robert R. Jones’ mother Marie was the great great granddaughter of the Potawatomi missionary Robert Simerwell. Her great grandmother was Elizabeth Simerwell Carter, the first white female born in Kansas.
