Description: First thing's first - tested and working! The original battery does not function, but the car does work with the generic replacement battery. I made the mistake of testing it inside... way too fast for indoors! I am not an "RC Guy" or collector, but I would suspect this unit is in exceptional condition compared to most out there. I had a hard time tracking sale history down for this, from what I have gathered it is pretty rare, especially working in box. The car itself is excellent. The only real issue would be a couple white scuff marks on one side - see close up photo. Underneath the front fender there is mild road wear but nothing too bad - this was only used a handful of times. The other small issue is the way the battery compartment in the remote control. It's almost like it's just slightly too big for a 9v battery. For the most part it is completely fine, but there were some occasions where I would have to "push up" on the battery to make full contact with the metal contacts. It's really nothing though - worst case scenario you can just slide something thin under the battery to push it up against the contacts. Has original styrofoam and some paperwork. There was also a small little baggie with some tiny black pieces inside, no clue what they are... but they're there. See photo. Box very good for its age. Mild wear and dings. The plastic window had been slightly unglued inside and got a little bit folded up, but I repaired it with some inside so it sits flush against the box and it doesn't get caught when putting the car back in. Cost of shipping can't be helped - it's big in box. Local pickup available in Gahanna Ohio area.
