This is a lovely 1940s pattern for a lady's striped jumper and matching gloves set, designed to fit a 34-36 inch bust. The jumper has been knitted in 3-ply on No.8, No.10 and No.12 needles and has a lovely simple neckline, whilst the gloves are also knitted in 3-ply but on No.13 needles. Regards the 3-ply wool, you may wish to try a modern 4-ply to make this garment, as vintage yarns were 'heavier' than todays modern yarns, but I would recommend working a tension square in a modern 4-ply first to see if a change of needles is needed (tension information etc. below).If you purchase any of my vintage copied patterns you can enjoy free p&p on any vintage knitting needles purchased from my shop.
