The red paint in particular has worn away to a clean vintage effect (no flaking), and neither the cover nor the jar have any cracks, chips, or even hairlines. No crazing is evident, though overall the piece has a rough bottom and some original glaze imperfections. A "USA" mark is found near the bottom in back.
