Description: I have used this in a small room that was a library and it played mostly jazz, and smooth jazz. The lows are this are incredible. I used a pair of Jamo speakers as the mains and this Acoustic Research Athena would add that low end that smoothly filled the room. I used it with a Technics SA-AX6 receiver that had a built in sub amplifier with control and the sound was perfect. I can't say enough about this sub. It will rival many subs larger than its size with good sound.
