Description: Vintage catholic rosary Beads: 8x6 mm black ebony beads.Ebony wood was used to make rosary beads in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Ebony was also used as an inlay on metal crucifixes of that period. Many ebony rosaries were brought to America by Irish immigrants fleeing the devastating potato famine. Crucifix measures 2 1/4" in height.Rosary center measures 1/2" in height. From the bottom of the cross to the middle of the third decade this rosary is 21.5" long.
