Description: This is a vintage 70’s? CheckMate made in Korea 36 inch smaller body guitar. It is so cute! This is a player and it plays well. The action is AMAZING all through the neck. The bridge is fully attached to the soundboard and it features an adjustable saddle. There is a tiny crack on the soundboard that wouldn’t even show up in the pics. The tuners are original and work smoothly. I’ve put on a set of extra light strings which are appropriate for this guitar. The fretboard is in great shape. I gave it a light sanding and a light fretjob. There are 12 frets to the body and 19 in total. When the strings are brought to tension, the soundboard does belly a bit and that is pretty normal for a guitar this old. It doesn’t affect playability or the action. See the pics and video link below. The back had two dings on the bottom that I stabilized with CA glue and although you can see them, they are not going to get worse. This guitar does not come with a case but will be bubble wrapped with care and shipped in a guitar shipping box.
