Forty beads.Graduated from 5mm to 14mm Glass makers, in order to get a brighter color, added a touch of Uranium to glass in the early 1900's. This practice stopped in the 1940s.When exposed to a black light, the beads glow.The level of uranium used was considered safe for wearing.
