Description: Vintage Inuit Carved Soapstone of a Seal sitting on a rock-very nicely detailed and carved measuring 3 inches tall and 2-1/12 inches at the base. The Stone is a mottled green-grey color and numbered on the underside "179054" with four initials above which I can't identify but believe is Eskimo Arts Canada. Carving has a chip on the right lower side of the base and a smaller one towards the back corner but these do not detract as they are small- the carving is from the 1960's.
