Description: This is a truly vintage Lourdes rosary. Circa 1958. Somewhat rare. Highly collectible. You will receive the exact rosary pictured. It is about 25" overall length. The crucifix measures 2". The rosary weighs 30.0 grams. Lucite Blue Bubble Beads. Research suggests that at one time, the bubble beads held holy water that has since evaporated. The pater beads are heart-shape. The rosary has a small metal tag marked LEGATURA ALPACCA on one side. The reverse is blank. The bubble beads are clear overall, with some intermittent age-related clouding. The blue color is bright in most beads, less bright in a few (due to age-related clouding). 100% of the beads are present. Each bead has a reinforcement ring, top and bottom. 100% of the rings are present. The crucifix is complete with the INRI scroll. The letters INRI remain fully legible. The corpus is fully intact and shows excellent detail with minimal softening. The crucifix has no marking/lettering on reverse. Overall, the crucifix is in excellent to very good vintage condition. The centerpiece is fully intact. The depiction of the LOURDES apparition is fully visible. The words on reverse are fully legible: JE SUIS L' IMMACULEE CONCEPTION LOURDES. The window on reverse is clear with minimal scratches or scuffs. The front of the centerpiece shows some wear and yellowing around the outside edges. Overall, the centerpiece is showing more wear than the crucifix, however it is in very good vintage condition and fully complete/intact. The rosary is complete, intact and strong. Overall, this rosary is in excellent to very good vintage condition. For a rosary that is approximately 66 years of age, it has aged quite nicely, without significant damage or wear. Several photographs serve as the best descriptor for this truly vintage rosary.
