Description: Vintage Marimekko For Design Research 1960s/70s Gray Mod Wool Shift Dress Sz 34 6 For sale is an amazing wool flannel (or melton) shift dress from Marimekko for Design Research. Design Research was a shop in Cambridge that sold Scandinavian design, including clothing. It’s been out of business since 1977 but its influence with design remains. The dress is in remarkable shape for its age. It has a few pills but no stains or tears that I can see. A great medium gray with a chest pocket, side pockets, and a drawstring at the waist. This drawstring doesn’t cinch the waist; it appears just to be decorative. Size 34 or 6 in US sizing; see the photos for measurements. Believe it or not, I have a second dress just like this one (same style and size) but in gorgeous purple-plum. Somebody grab these to let them fulfill their dress destiny! They are just too great.
