Description: Navy Pilot's Flight Helmet APH-6c "VF-19" 71' Dated Sz Large. Likely used during the Vietnam war with VF-19 during which they used F-8 Crusaders, possible the helmet was later used in F-4j late 70s but unsure. Helmet is unusually clean save the Styrofoam liner due to the man I bought it from just starting on converting it to a rebel pilot helmet before giving up, helmet has been meticulously cleaned of its history. seems some of the reflective tape particularly on the rear has been removed in some places more harshly than others. Visor housing has cracks as 90% of ramhorns do unfortunately but visors are pretty smooth on their rails. Helmet has paint chips, degradation of the mask receivers, ripped leather, dirty and damaged styrofoam liner all consistent with its age and probable combat use. All dry rot foam has been removed at some point. Presumed nonfunctional comms and sold as is
