Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. Not going to lie. I know nothing about this old RCA microphone. I have zero info on this model number. You are looking at a rare RCA brown bullet crystal microphone from the late 1930's or 1940's era. It's the first I have ever come across and it utilizes the Brush crystal element. This was a high Z mic used for basic broadcasting and dispatch purposes. It's an all metal microphone with an attractive dark brown paint scheme and chromed front grill. A classier looking mic that is fairly light weight. As you can see this one comes with it's original detachable desk stand. This mic has not been tested and one of the wires is detached from the original element. I'll assume it's non-working. You'll notice right away that this mic has an original painted finish. This example is quite good though there are noticeable lite scratches and several small paint chips on the top portion of the mics head as well as a few on the base of the stand. The riser looks much nicer. No dents or fractures however. The front grill looks pretty nice with zero odors, tarnish or dents. The black cloth inner screen is perfect and the RCA meatball logo is still present. The mic with stand is appx 9 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide. The riser will come off quickly with a half twist so that the user could walk around with the mic. The base still has the original felt pad and it's in great condition. The mic has an original but shortened 16 inch cable. The cable is still soft and is very pliable. The cable comes with a female 1/4 inch end connector. Mic is an easy 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10 in the cosmetic department. Shoot me a fair offer. As with all my vintage microphones... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid.
